Admissions Policy
Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy is committed to enrolling students who meet all of our program admission criteria and who are likely to succeed in meeting their education and career goals.
Minimum Requirements
If the applicant fails to meet the minimum admission requirements, neither the School nor the Applicant may waive these requirements. The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent to be accepted into the Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy. The applicant must submit the application documents which are indicated on e) under step-by-step registration procedures.
Step-by-Step Registration Procedures
a) Interview with the Administrator.
b) Fill out and submit Application Form including the following additional items required for Admission.
c) Submit a $100.00 Application Fee to be applied to the tuition fees upon acceptance or returned to you if your application is not approved.
d) Include the following items with the Application
- Your resume
- Proof of high school, college or university graduation – copy of Diploma and / or Certificate
- A letter of recommendation (e.g. from employer or non-family member)
- A certificate of health from a medical doctor stating that you are in good health and free from communicable disease. (Please provide a history of contagious diseases.)
- A letter, two pages or less in length, stating why you want to study Shiatsu
- A criminal record check (local student only)
- A $100.00 non-refundable application fee made payable to Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy Inc. which will be applied to your tuition fees once approved. (If not approved your application fee will be returned to you)

f ) Read and understand the School Policy and mission statement.
g) The Student and the School’s Representative (Signing Officer) sign the Enrolment Contract
h) International students wishing to apply to study at the Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy must apply for a student visa from Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The Diploma program at the college qualifies for foreign student authorization as an accredited institution under the Private Training Institution Branch.
i) Payment of tuition.
